VERA by Purple Valley Lavender Farm, Guinda, California

We found buyers for our own harvest. Now we'll find yours.

VERA is the buyer-finding system we built on our farm when a strong season left us with more lavender than buyers. It finds U.S. wholesale businesses that look like your best customers, drafts short personal outreach for you to send, and tracks every lead until it orders.

Three founding spots for established botanical producers with inventory to move.

Why a lavender farm is offering this

2026 was a great season for us. It was a great season for everyone else too.

Buyers started telling us they were covered. The long emails with PDF catalogs we sent mostly went unread, or reached someone who couldn't say yes.

So we stopped guessing. We studied the businesses that had actually bought from us, and the ones that said no, and went looking for more of the first kind. Short notes, one real line about their business, an offer of a sample. I sent every one myself, and we followed up on a schedule instead of hoping.

That's how a farm our size ended up selling wholesale at $34 to $50 a pound. VERA is the same system, set up around your crop and your buyers.

Good product, quiet inbox

If you grow or make something buyers would want, the hard part usually isn't quality. It's getting in front of the right people.

Distributors set your price

Selling through a middleman moves volume, but the margin and the buyer relationship stay with them.

Buyers default to what they know

A shop that has never heard of you will reorder from its current supplier or buy imported, even when yours is better.

Catalog emails disappear

Long messages with attachments land in spam or on the wrong desk. Most never get a reply, so you never learn why.

How VERA works

Six steps, in this order, for every client. The first is the one most sales efforts skip.

  1. Learn who already buys from you

We start from your real customers and the businesses that turned you down. Every search after that is built on what they have in common.

  2. Find businesses that look like them

We search maps, the web and Instagram across the U.S. for shops, makers and brands that match the profile of your best buyers.

  3. Check and rank every one

Businesses that don't buy botanicals, or grow their own, are dropped. The rest are ranked by how closely they resemble the people who already pay you.

  4. Write short, personal messages

45 to 75 words, one specific line about their business, and a sample offer. No attachments, no price lists, no mass mailing.

You read each one and send it from your own inbox
  5. Follow up on a schedule

Follow-ups go out on day 4 and day 11. Warm leads go on a call list, and every sample is tracked until it turns into a quote or a clear no.

  6. Run it all from one sales board

Every lead, from first message to repeat order, in one place your team can see and work from each morning.

Three phases, paid one at a time

You only move to the next phase once the one before it has proved itself on your crop.

Phase 1

Buyer Sprint

30 days

$1,500

Founding producers: $1,500 $1,000 in exchange for a case study. Three spots.

  • Buyer profile session built on your sales history
  • 150+ ranked prospects across the U.S.
  • Personal outreach drafted for you to send
  • Follow-up schedule and your own sales board

Paid up front. Work starts the day it clears.

Phase 2

Sales Desk Build

60 days

$3,500

  • Full pipeline across every buyer type that responded
  • Sample tracking and a call list for warm leads
  • A wholesale price sheet buyers can act on
  • Training so your team runs it without us

Only after Phase 1 delivers.

Phase 3

Ongoing

Month to month

$1,000to $1,500 / month

  • VERA keeps finding, drafting and following up
  • Monthly review of which buyers are ordering
  • Or pay 7–10% of sales from buyers VERA found, for 12 months, instead of a fee

Your choice of fee or commission.

If the Buyer Sprint doesn't produce at least 3 sample requests from qualified wholesale buyers in 30 days, I keep working at no charge until it does.

What I won't promise is orders. Those depend on your product, your price and how quickly you follow up, and you should be wary of anyone who guarantees them. What I can promise is real conversations with the right buyers.

Who this is for

I take a small number of clients at a time, so I'm selective. This works best for producers who are already established and ready to sell more.

A good fit

  • An established farm, distillery or botanical brand with product to move, roughly $20,000 or more in inventory
  • Certifications, lab results or grade specs you can stand behind
  • Samples you can ship within a few days of a request
  • Someone on your team who can send messages and answer buyers

Not a fit

  • Just starting out, or not yet able to supply wholesale volume
  • Looking for an email blast to a bought list
  • Expecting guaranteed orders
  • Selling culinary lavender to the same buyers we do

Questions producers ask

Anything else, ask me directly in your application.

Will you sell my product for me?

No. VERA finds the buyers, drafts the messages and runs the follow-up system. You send, quote and close, so the relationships and the margin stay with you.

Whose name is on the messages?

Yours. Every message goes out from your own inbox or Instagram account, and nothing is ever sent automatically. You read each one before it goes.

Which crops does this work for?

Anything sold wholesale to U.S. businesses: dried herbs and flowers, tea botanicals, culinary herbs, hops, material for essential oils and skincare. The first week is spent learning exactly who buys yours.

Is my customer list kept private?

Yes. Your buyer history is used only to build your searches. It is never shared with other clients or used for our own farm.

Will you work with my competitors?

I won't take on two clients who would be chasing the same buyers with the same product at the same time.

How does payment work?

Each phase is invoiced up front and paid by card. Work starts when payment clears, and you decide whether to continue at the end of each phase.
